Banksman

Position: Banksman

Location: Belfast

Duration: Permanent

Salary: £25,304.50 per annum

Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.30pm, Friday 7.30am to 1.30pm

Duties will include (but not be limited to):

• Responsible for directing the movement of vehicles on site.
• Ensure that vehicles are moved safely and efficiently, and that traffic regulations are followed. Directing vehicles to loading and unloading areas and minimize reversing.
• Use of hand signals, radio, or verbal communication to guide drivers, ensuring drivers make safe manoeuvres, such as when reversing.
• Awareness of potential hazards, such as blind spots, and how to manage them. Enforcing risk mitigation measures and using judgment to decide whether operations are safe to proceed.
• Ensure that traffic is managed to avoid excessive queuing & keeping traffic areas free of pedestrians.
• Monitor the use of safety equipment, such as barriers, cones, and warning signs.

Essential Criteria:

• Valid UK Driving Licence
• Previous experience working within logistics & warehousing

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous Banksman experience
• Banksman certification
