Plant Maintenance Fitter

Ashton Recruitment requires a Plant Maintenance Fitter for our client based in Lisburn

Job Title: Plant Maintenance Fitter

Location: Lisburn

Duration: Temporary

Rate of pay: £15.70 per hour

Hours: 37 per week

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Carry out daily checks of plant rooms and public facilities to ensure all systems are in good working order and operating satisfactorily
• Ensure that the pool and water environment are correct by taking water samples as required and if necessary make adjustments t water treatment plant including backwashing of filters
• Monitor and maintain plumbing and ventilation systems within the LeisurePlex. Ensure all relevant safety checks are carried out including Legionella prevention and record kept up to date
• Implement the requirements of planned maintenance programme, in the key areas of water filtrations, ventilation, electrical and mechanical systems.

Essential Criteria:

• A City and Guilds, Level 3 or other equivalent relevant qualification in an mechanical of plumbing discipline
• A minimum of 2 years post apprenticeship employment experience in the maintenance of mechanical, electrical services installations, plant and equipment
• A practical working knowledge and experience of the maintenance and servicing of a minimum of two of the following:

• Air Handling Units and associated equipment
• Industrial pumping systems
• Electrical installations
• Plumbing installation
• Water filtration and water treatment systems

• Where applicants do not hold the essential education/qualifications they must hold a minimum of 5 years’ experience as outlined above
